The Full Bucket and the Empty Bucket

The Autistic brain is often (but certainly not all people with Autism) like 'being a full bucket' when non-autistic people are more often like an 'empty bucket'.

This means that if your bucket is always full then you don't want people to put more into the bucket. Now if your brain is full, its hard to let people keep trying to fill your brain because its all overloaded.

The non-autistic people are more like 'empty buckets'. If their brain is a bit empty of information they want more information, more and more and more.... and they don't get overloaded so easy!

But the 'full bucket' brain of the Autistic person isn't full because they are too slow or stupid to empty their brain out of information.

Its too full because their brain notices much much much more things coming in than the brain of the non-autistic person.

So this means the 'full bucket' brain can LOOK SLOW but that's because they take in much more in the first place!

The 'empty bucket' kind of brain of non-Autistic people has a special filtering system... so like a tea strainer. Their brain stops a lot of information coming in by FILTERING it. Dr Danczac could maybe show you this with sand and a tea strainer... the bucket or brain that got the sand with no tea strainer would fill up MUCH faster than the one that was FILTERED through the tea strainer.

So this is why the Autistic brain overloads much quicker.

Now, the non-Autistic brain is so empty a lot of the time they can connect up many things in their head... we call this 'BEING MULTI-TRACK'.... like the London Underground... lots and lots of trains all running at the same time!

But the Autistic brain is so overflowing with information that they keep up better with this one thing or then that one thing and then switch to something else... we call this one 'BEING MONO-TRACK'... like the mono-rail... single tracks.

This means the two types of people think their way is the best!

And guess what?

Both are right!

Both types are the best because what is best is what is most NATURAL to each person.
